The cover was designed to visually translate the experience of receiving a PNES diagnosis—confusing, overwhelming, yet navigable with the right guidance. The small boat navigating the waves reflects patients and loved ones trying to make sense of a diagnosis with limited information. The lighthouse serves as a central metaphor for the book itself: a steady source of clarity, understanding, and direction.
